How does booking work?
Choose your dates in the calendar and send us your request. We confirm availability, then you pay a 30% deposit. The balance is due 30 days before arrival.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 5 pm and check-out by 10 am. Outside the French school holidays, you can arrive on any day. During the Christmas, February and summer school holidays, arrival is on the first day of the week you have booked.
What's included?
Tourist tax, bed and bath linen, beds made up for your arrival, and end-of-stay cleaning.
Can we stay for less than a week?
Yes, outside the Christmas, February and summer school holidays: stays start from 2 nights, arriving on the day of your choice. Every stay costs at least €1,800. Short stays of 2 to 3 nights have a single price, from €2,000 to €2,700 depending on the period – so if you book 2 nights, the 3rd is free. For longer stays, the price is pro rata to the weekly rate. During the Christmas, February and summer school holidays, the chalet is let by the week only.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes, a €3,000 security deposit is required. It is returned after the check-out inspection.
What is there to do in the valley?
Barcelonnette, 7 km away, is the heart of the Ubaye valley, with its market, restaurants and valley museum. Summer or winter, there's no shortage of ideas:
Is there wifi? Can we work remotely?

How far are the slopes?
The Pra Loup ski lifts are 300 m away. Free shuttle buses also link the hamlet of Les Molanès with Pra Loup 1600.
Where is the ski school (ESF)?
The ESF ski school at Les Molanès is also 300 m from the chalet, next to the lifts at the foot of the gondola. Lessons get booked up quickly in the holidays: call the office on +33 4 92 84 15 15 to check availability, or book online at esf-praloup.com.
Where can we hire skis and buy lift passes?
We recommend Godille Sport 1500, at the foot of the Les Molanès gondola, 300 m from the chalet: ski and snowboard hire, expert advice, equipment sales and a terminal for topping up your lift passes. Book your equipment online in advance for the best prices. Lift passes can also be bought online at praloup.ski, the official ski lift website.
Where can we store our skis?
The ground floor has a ski room for storing and drying your kit, as well as a laundry room.
Is there parking on site?
Yes, the grounds have parking for 5 cars.
Is the chalet suitable for children?
Yes: a games room with table football, a dormitory sleeping 6, a suspended net and two family suites. Pra Loup holds the Famille Plus family-friendly label, and there's a Piou Piou ski club for little ones at Les Molanès.
